Since opening its doors in 1990, the CambridgeSide Galleria has established an ongoing community partnership with East End House, a not-for-profit, multi-service community center and social service agency committed to providing programs and services to strengthen family and community in East Cambridge, Cambridge and the Greater Boston area. As a result of programs at East End House, parents are able to work to provide for their families, children are able to develop in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment, seniors no longer have to live in isolation, hungry families are fed, and the surrounding neighborhoods have a place to come together in the spirit of community.

In 2000, CambridgeSide Galleria, established the East End House Penny Campaign to provide both the opportunity to collect ongoing funds and to enhance their presence in the community. Signage and collection boxes at the mall parking garage exits provide information about East End House services and encourage patrons to donate their pennies to this wonderful organization. To date the program has raised over $31,000 in funds.

In 2003, CambridgeSide Galleria joined East End House to provide sponsorship support of the Annual Volunteer Recognition Event. Since 2003, CambridgeSide Galleria has sponsored Cooking For A Cause, their largest fundraising event.

In 2006, CambridgeSide Galleria implemented the Pack a Backpack School Supply Drive. With the help of the CambridgeSide Community, CambridgeSide Galleria was able to collect over 1,200 school supplies including but not limited to pencils, pens, notebooks, binders, backpacks and more to service over 180 area children and families of the East End House.
